Tip: Choose the variant that matches your rim diameter. Wider, larger-bore rims typically use a 1″ band; minis/pit bikes often use 3/4″.

Install Steps

Remove tire and tube. Inspect rim for sharp edges; deburr if needed.
Stretch the rim strip over the rim. Align the valve hole with the valve opening.
Center the band so it fully covers spoke nipples all the way around.
Reinstall tube and tire to spec. Inflate and check for even seating.

Is this “rim tape” or a “rim strip”?

These are rubber rim strips (also called rim bands)—non-adhesive, reusable protectors that sit inside the rim. Adhesive cloth/plastic “rim tape” is a different product. If you want the most forgiving protection for spoke nipples, use rubber rim strips.

How do I choose the right size?

Match your rim diameter (inches) and pick the width that fully covers the spoke holes (commonly 3/4″ for minis and 1″ for full-size rims). When in doubt, check your rim/tire size markings or contact us.

Will this work with tubeless setups?

No. These are designed for tubed wheels. For tubeless, use the manufacturer’s specified sealing system.

Do I need one or two?

Each wheel uses one strip. Order two if you’re servicing both front and rear wheels.
